Single Game Tickets on Sale Friday, February 27

SALEM, Va. (February 25, 2009) - The Salem Red Sox, Advanced Class- A Affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, have announced that individual game tickets will be available for purchase on Friday, February 27 at 11:00AM. Salem will also be hosting Sox on Sale - a tailgating event at Lewis-Gale Medical Center Field from 11am - 1pm to celebrate the occasion. The event is free and open to the public; Salem Red Sox staff will be providing hot dogs, chips, and soda all fans choosing to spend their lunch break at the ballpark. The event will be held rain or shine.

Fans will be able to purchase single game tickets to any Salem Red Sox home game throughout the 2009 season, including the most sought-after tickets in franchise history: Opening Night on April 9th.The Souvenir store is stocked with new Salem Red Sox apparel and merchandise, and fans will have the opportunity to learn about Season Tickets and flexible ticket packages that the Salem Sox have to offer.

Individual game tickets will also be available to purchase online at www.salemsox.com beginning at 11:00AM, and K92's afternoon drive personality Bob Patrick will be on-hand to greet listeners and fans.

"Next to pitchers and catchers reporting, the first hot dog at the ballpark is the most exciting pre-season baseball activity," said Salem's General Manager, John Katz. "It's a great way to say goodbye to the end of the work week, grab a free hot dog and say hello to old friends."

The Salem Red Sox will also be introducing installment plans for full-Season Tickets, allowing fans to take full advantage of the benefits of being a Salem Red Sox season ticket holder, while making it easier to afford with manageable monthly payments.
