Jackson, Tenn. - The Southern League announced its midseason all-stars Tuesday, and Jackson Generals outfielders Dario Pizzano and Jabari Blash and left-handed pitcher James Gillheeney were announced as members of the North Division All-Star Team. The North and South Division Teams will play in the 2015 Southern League All-Star Game, presented by Wind Creek Hospitality, on Tuesday, June 23 at Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery, Alabama.

Pizzano has been one of the Southern League's best hitters throughout the first two months of the 2015 season. Pizzano recorded a franchise-record 25-game hit streak from April 16 through May 17, the longest streak in all of affiliated baseball this season. He ranks fifth in the circuit with a .324 batting average and also sits among the league leaders with 11.33 plate appearances per strikeout (204 PA/18 K).

Blash provided an instant power boost for Jackson. He is batting .304 and is tied for fourth in the Southern League with nine home runs, featuring a pair of multi-homer performances. Blash was the Southern League Player of the Week for May 11 to 17, hitting .435 (10-for-23) with two home runs and nine runs batted in.

Gillheeney's versatility as a starter and a reliever has been on full display so far this season. The southpaw is 3-1 with a 2.45 earned run average over 12 appearances, including five starts. Gillheeney even held his opponents scoreless in four of his first five outings while picking up two wins during that stretch.

All-star festivities will begin on Monday, June 22 with the Southern League All-Star Social at 6:00 p.m. CT in The Alley in Downtown Montgomery. Tuesday kicks off with the Southern League All-Star Home Run Derby, presented by Alfa Insurance, prior to the 2015 Southern League All-Star Game. First pitch is scheduled for 7:35 p.m. CT.
