
Three Gamblers Selected to Represent the U.S.

The Green Bay Gamblers are proud to announce that three future players have been named to the 2015 United States U-18 team that will compete August 10-15 at the Ivan Hlinka Tournament in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The three players are forwards John Leonard, Casey Mittlestadt and defenseman Andrew Peeke. Both Leonard and Peeke will play for the Gamblers this upcoming season. Mittlestadt is slated to play for the Gamblers in 2016-17.
Leonard starred last season for the Springfield Rifles. Leonard, who is committed to UMASS-Amherst was selected by the Gamblers in the 2014 Futures Draft. Peeke and Mittlestadt are also products of the 2014 Futures Draft. Peeke hails from Parkland, Florida, and played last season at the Selects Hockey Academy. Peeke is committed to Notre Dame. Mittlestadt hails from Eden Prairie, Minnesota, starring for his hometown high school. Middlestadt is committed to the University of Minnesota.
The Ivan Hlinka Cup is an annual event held each August for national U-18 teams from around the world. The tournament includes teams from Canada, Czech Republic, Finland, Russia, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States.
