Ryan Spooner, Darcy Greenaway and Tyler J Brown each scored twice, as the Kingston Frontenacs took a surprising 6-2 decision over the Spitfires at the WFCU Centre on Thursday night.
The Eastern Conference's last place team (2-10-1-1) held leads of 2-0 and 3-1 before Craig Duininck scored a seeing-eye goal with less than a minute left in the second period that closed the gap to 3-2 after 40 minutes.
Greenaway's goal at 18:02 of the second period was the eventual game winner.
He also assisted on Brown's 7th of the season at 5:10 of the third, and added his own second of the night, putting the game out of reach at 16:12.
Tom Kuhnhackl had the other Windsor goal.
Kuhnhackl returned after missing 13 games with a knee injury to pot his first of the season while playing on the top line with Alexander Khokhlachev and Brady Vail.
Jack Campbell made 30 saves in goal in a losing cause.
