
Three Firebirds Listed in NHL Draft Rankings

Flint, Mich. - Three Flint Firebirds players are listed on the NHL Central Scouting's Midterm list which ranks North American skaters eligible for the 2016 NHL Draft this June in Buffalo, NY.
Flint's Will Bitten is ranked #42 among North American skaters. Bitten leads the Firebirds with 20 goals and 23 assists, totaling 43 points in 42 games played this season and has earned multi-point nights 11 times. Bitten will also compete in 2016 CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game in Vancouver, BC on Thursday Jan. 28.
Second year forward, Nicholas Cammano, is listed #148 in the Midterm Rankings. Caamano has tallied six goals and 20 points in 41 games this season.
Luke Kirwan is the third current Firebirds player on the NHL Central Scouting's Midterm list at #166. The 6-foot-2, 230-pound forward scored Flint's lone goal in Ottawa on Sunday.
The domestic rankings list a total of 210 North American skaters, 67 of which currently compete in the Ontario Hockey League. OHL players make up six of the top-10 skaters listed this season. In addition, four OHL players were selected in the first six picks in the 2015 NHL draft last June.
The Firebirds have three current players that are already drafted in the National Hockey League: Brent Moran (Dallas), Alex Peters (Dallas) and Vili Saarijärvi (Detroit).
The Firebirds will return home to the Dort Federal Event Center this Saturday, Jan. 23 against the Windsor Spitfires with puck drop set for 7:30 p.m.

Fans may bring in five or more canned or boxed food items to receive $5 off a Silver Level ticket. Fans may drop off donated food at the Flint Firebirds Merchandise store to receive the discount. Fans can also purchase a $15 Silver Level ticket through ticketmaster.com and enter code HUNGER to donate $5 to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.
