
Three Bulls Named to All South Division Team

FRISCO, TX - As the Amarillo Bulls prepare for their first game of the Robertson Cup later tonight (Thursday) against the Texas Tornado, they received more great news from the North American Hockey League.
Three members of the Bulls were chosen to the All-South Division Team as selected by the Coaches and General Managers.
Brooks Behling was one of three forwards chosen along with Jack Prince of the Texas Tornado and Brian Christie of the Topeka RoadRunners. Behling notched 37 goals and 38 assists for 75 points in 57 games played. He led the NAHL in shots on goal with 285, shorthanded goals with five and was second in both game winning goals with eight, and plus-minus at plus 49.
Defensemen John Rey and Karl Beckman were also selected to the team. Rey led the league in points among defensemen with 51 (eight goals, 43 assists), while Beckman was third with 45 (10 goals, 35 assists. Rey was first in assists with 43, and also plus-minus at plus 64. He was also among the leaders in shots on goal, power play assists, and penalty minutes. Beckman was second in power play goals with seven, shots at 161, and among the leaders in various other categories.
Rounding out the All-South Division team was goaltender Connor Hellebuyck of the Odessa Jackalopes.
The All-NAHL Team, All-Rookie Team, Forward of the Year, Defenseman of the Year, Brian's Goaltender of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Coach of the Year, General Manager of the Year and Organization of the Year, along with the Academic Achievement Award, Gongshow Lifestyle Community Service Award and Mark Messier Leadership Award winners, will be announced on May 6th and 7th.
The opening game for the Amarillo Bulls at the Robertson Cup is set for tonight at 7:30 pm when they face the rival Texas Tornado at Dr. Pepper Arena. Fans can tune into the game live on ESPN1440 and www.amarillobulls.com beginning with Prelude To The Robertson Cup Presented By Wayland Baptist University at 7:15 pm. Denis J.
