
Thorns FC Midfielder Angela Salem Undergoes Successful Surgery for Knee Injury

PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland Thorns FC announced today that midfielder Angela Salem has undergone successful surgery at Sports Medicine Oregon to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in her left knee. Salem will conduct her rehabilitation with Thorns FC sports medicine staff at Providence Park and at the Providence Sports Care Center and will miss the remainder of the 2019 season.
In her second season with Portland in 2019, Salem has appeared in eight matches (2 starts) since joining Thorns FC ahead of the 2018 season. During her NWSL career, Salem has played in 110 career matches (100 starts), tallying one goal and one assist.
