Third annual Curve TicketPalooza Saturday

(ALTOONA, PA) – The Altoona Curve will celebrate the first day of individual game ticket sales by hosting the club's third annual TicketPalooza celebration on Saturday, March 12th from 9 AM to 2 PM at Blair County Ballpark. The event will be held on the ballpark's Upper Ticket Plaza, located on Park Avenue.

Fans attending the event will not only have the opportunity to secure the best available seats for all 71 Curve home games, including the Home Opener on Thursday, April 14th, but will also be able to enjoy several fun, family activities while also having the opportunity to win several great prizes just for attending.

Among the fun activities planned for TicketPalooza 2005 include:

--Great door prizes, including the opportunity to throw out a ceremonial first pitch prior to the Curve's Home Opener, a chance to be a guest Public Address or Radio Announcer during the Home Opener, the opportunity to receive all Curve giveaways for the entire season, and many more great prizes

--Guided tours of Blair County Ballpark

--Kids' activities, such as coloring tables, a bounce around and visits from Steamer and Diesel Dawg

--Taste test all of the new ballpark food items for 2005

--A special "sidewalk" sale, featuring several new Curve merchandise items from the Curve Stockyard

--Free donuts, popcorn, coffee and hot chocolate

Additionally, the Curve will hold a "Ticket Pickin' Party" in which fans will have the opportunity to visit the seats they are purchasing. Also, fans interested in purchasing a full-season, mini-plan or flex book ticket package will be able to view several of the best available seating locations throughout the ballpark.

"TicketPalooza has quickly grown into a fun-filled family event that really signifies the start of the baseball season," said Curve General Manager Todd Parnell. "Our goal is to create a great ballpark atmosphere for the fans that are excited enough to buy their tickets on the first day they become available to the public."

Also, beginning March 12th the Curve Ticket Office will extend its hours to give fans more convenience in purchasing individual game tickets for the 2005 season. The ticket office will be open weekdays from 9 AM to 5 PM, Saturdays 10-2 and Sundays 12-2. On the days of Curve home games, tickets can be purchased from 9 AM through the end of the game. Also, fans will once again be able to purchase tickets on-line 24-hours a day, seven days a week at www.altoonacurve.com.
