
Thinel Sets Records During Perfect Week for Odessa

(Odessa, TX) - Sebastien Thinel entered the franchise record books two more times this past week and the Jackalopes set a new CHL record as Odessa picked up three wins including a pair on the road.

Milestones Achieved: Kory Karlander recorded the 700th point of his pro career with an assist against Wichita...The Jackalopes set a CHL record with 104 power play goals in a 64-game season against Wichita...Sebastien Thinel set the franchise single season records for points in a season (95) and assists in a season (56) against Amarillo.
Thursday vs. Corpus Christi, 7-5 WIN
A new CHL season high was set with nine combined goals scored in the second period as the Jacks held on against the IceRays. Jacks rookie Robby Spalding scored the first goal of his professional career in the first period. The Jacks were three-for-eight on the power play in the win.
Saturday at Wichita, 7-3 WIN
The Jackalopes scored four first period goals and Collin Circelli recorded his first pro hat trick as the Jacks routed the Wichita Thunder, 7-3. Phil Plante, Russ Moyer, Mike Lesperance, Kory Karlander, and Sebastien Thinel all finished with two points in the win.
Sunday at Amarillo, 5-2 WIN
Sebastien Thinel set new franchise records for points in a season (95) and assists in a season (56) with a four point game against the Gorillas. Thinel's 95 points this season is a new career high for the Jacks' forward and leads the CHL overall this year.
Tuesday @ Rio Grande Valley, 7:35 PM
It's the final meeting of the regular season between the two playoff teams. Odessa is 3-2-1 against the Bees this season. Five of the six meetings between the two teams have been decided by a goal, with two of those games going to overtime and one going to a shootout. The other meeting was a two goal win for Odessa.
Friday vs. Oklahoma City, 7:05 PM
It's Odessa's only meeting against one of the best defensive teams in the CHL this season have allowed just 150 goals against - tops in the league. Oklahoma City is led by goaltender, Doug Groenestege, who is 23-5-4 this year with a 2.07 GAA and a .923 SV%. Odessa is 7-5-1 against the Northern Conference this season.
Saturday vs. Laredo, 7:05 PM
Odessa closes out the regular season against the team that knocked them out of the playoffs last season. The Jackalopes are 3-0-0 against Laredo this season and the Bucks are in a fight with Rio Grande Valley for the third playoff seed in the Southern Conference.
