Myrtle Beach: The Myrtle Beach Stingrays offense was on a roll last night in the Stingrays Home opener. With a total compiled 283 yards, the new Rays are definitely on their way to putting Myrtle Beach on the NIFL Map.
Rays fans were equally as excited with the Stingrays! Every Stingrays Game is Frosty 50 Night... fans with a ticket stub can get a free 12 oz. Frosty after every home game that the Stingrays put up 50 points or more!
Stingrays veteran quarterback, Albert Higgs, who played for the NIFL's Billings Outlaws a year ago, completed 14 of 22 passes for 151 yards and three touchdowns to go with only one interception.
Stingrays receiver, Mike Montoya, led the Rays in receptions with 6 catches 51 yards, and 2 touchdowns.
Albert Higgs connected with Raphael Cooper in the end zone to make the play of the game, a 37 yard catch on his back! Raphael also led the team in Kick Off Returns with 4 returns for 72 yards .
Another new addition to the new and improved Stingray Roster is veteran kicker, Bruce Reineker. Bruce was on the mark, and only missed one field goal the entire night!
