PEORIA (Ill.) – The Peoria Pirates of the arenafootball2 league have announced that the Marvel Comic Book character, The Incredible Hulk, will be making an appearance this Saturday night when the Pirates host the Greensboro Prowlers at 7:00pm in Carver Arena.

As a special treat for Pirates fans and Hulk fans, The Incredible Hulk will make an appearance before the Pirates game at Morton Cinema, in the Field Shopping Center in Morton, IL (309-263-7909). He will sign autographs and pose for pictures with fans from 3:30 until 5:00pm.

The Incredible Hulk is the featured guest for the coin toss. In addition, at half time, The Hulk will help Coach Johnson and Eddie, Caitlin and Denise from the Morning Mix pay tribute to this week's Treasure Life honoree. During the game, the Incredible Hulk will mingle with fans and be available for autographs and pictures.

Last week, in their 41-37 win over Green Bay, Pirates' DS David Knott was named ADT Defensive Player of the Game for his outstanding performance. He had seven solo tackles, four assisted and two defended passes. Also, WR/DB Jack Walker was awarded MVP of the game by the media. He led the Pirates in receptions with seven for 77 yards and three touchdowns.

The Pirates are 2-4 and the Prowlers are 3-3. The Pirates are currently fourth in the National Midwest Division and the Prowlers are fourth in the American Atlantic Division. If Peoria beats Greensboro, the win would give the Pirates a 1-0 series record against the Prowlers and a 3-4 record for 2003. The win on Saturday night would also give Bruce Cowdrey his 19th win as Pirates' head coach.

Don't miss the opportunity to meet The Hulk and cheer your Pirates on to victory! Tickets for this week's game are available and may be purchased through the Peoria Civic Center Box Office, 309-673-3200.
