This past weekend, Austin Elite Rugby (0-7) came to town to challenge the league leading NOLA Gold (6-1). In what was a nail biter of a game, the Gold pulled out a stunning 35-31 win. AER showed some true Texas grit by never allowing the Gold to get to far ahead and even took the lead with 12 minutes remaining in regulation. With mere minutes on the clock, Tonguaiha offloaded to Kevin O'Connor who found Michael Baska in support for the game-winning score that took the game to full time.

Next Game: NOLA Gold at Glendale Raptors The NOLA Gold (6-0-1, 31 points) hit the road again as they travel to Glendale, Colorado, to take on the Raptors (3-2-3, 23 points) who sit fourth in the MLR rankings. League-leading try scorer Tristan Blewett and Cam Dolan return to the line up in what is promised to be a high powered match up. JP Eloff continues to lead the league in conversions (23) and Zack Stryffeler leads the team, and league, with 126 tackles. The game can be viewed live on CST at 8 p.m.
