Elmira Enforcers News Release
Today the Elmira Enforcers are pleased to announce that the 2021 season will begin with training camp opening on January 21st with the Empire State rivals competing in a showcase from January 29th through the 31st with Friday night taking place in Watertown and Saturday and Sunday in Elmira before the Elmira Enforcers Home Opener set for Thursday February 4thÃÂ and Friday February 5th.
A full schedule will be available in the coming weeks and we look forward to sharing that with the fans as soon as possible.
COVID and the travel regulations have necessitated more interstate play in New York and we are optimistic that though it may not appear as a normal FPHL season we will be able to get back to games with a full crowd capacity in the near future.
Robbie and Nellie Nichols have consistently championed the idea of returning to play in a way that is not only safe for the players, but for the fans as well. "We love our fans here in Elmira and playing an empty arena game on March 12th was a reminder of how important the fans here are to our team and our town. We continue to work with the Chemung County Board of Health and once we know what we are allowed to have in house we will make an announcement. We appreciate all of our amazing season ticket holders and sponsors and want to get as many people into First Arena safely as possible." Robbie told media members.
The Enforcers plan to have a full schedule once again as the team will be entering their third season in the FPHL. We will have more information as it becomes available on our social media (Facebook- Elmira Enforcers Twitter- @ElmiraEnforcers Instagram- ElmiraEnforcers) and on our website (www.ElmiraEnforcers.com). Stay Safe!
