The Story:
After Monday night's win, backed by Wilder Cartagena's 41st-minute goal, the Lions move on to Game 2 of the best-of-three series against Nashville SC at GEODIS Park.
A win would secure the Lions' spot in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, where they would face the winner of the series between No.3 Columbus Crew and No.6 Atlanta United FC.
A win by Nashville on Tuesday night would send both clubs back to the City Beautiful on Sunday, Nov. 12 for the deciding match in the best-of-three series.
Quote of the Week:
"An important part of our preparation is to settle our minds and be present in the moment. Without using too much the [previous] context of the games or attempting to predict the future. For the players, every single day we have to live one day at a time, one game at a time and this series is the same. We have a big responsibility to prepare a game that can advance us to the next phase, but we have to go and play them [Nashville SC] and surely it is going to be a big challenge. So we are prepared for that."
-Head Coach Oscar Pareja
