Thanksgiving Is For The Birds

November 25, 2002 - Atlantic Coast Hockey League 2 (ACHL 2)
St. Pete Parrots News Release

ST. PETERSBURG...The St. Pete Parrots will stop squawking and start gobbling this week as they prepare for a three game weekend at home. Tickets to all three games are $5 for upper level seating and $8 lower level seats.

After a turkey dinner and plenty of family time, hockey fans can head to the Bayfront Center at 7:30 Thanksgiving night for exciting action between the Cape Fear Fire Antz and the Parrots. The Fire Antz come to town off a resounding win against league leading Orlando Seals. However, the Parrots hope to keep the winning streak alive against Cape Fear, having not lost a game to them yet.

Friday night should prove to be just as exciting as the number one team in the Atlantic Coast Hockey League, the Orlando Seals, come to St. Pete for the first time. The Parrots handed the Seals their first loss of the season in their last match-up and hope for a repeat performance. Following the game fans will have an opportunity to meet the St. Pete Parrots players and coaching staff in a "meet-and-greet" in the Bayfront's Backstage Lounge following the game.

Fans will be able to skate with the St. Pete Parrot players in a free public skate (with ticket stub) following Saturday night's game versus the Macon Trax. Ticket holders will be allowed to retrieve their skates from their vehicles following the game and readmitted with a ticket stub.

The Latest Squawk
