Texas Tycoons complete coaching staff

October 21, 2005 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Texas Tycoons News Release

Fort Worth, TX. The ABA's Texas Tycoons professional basketball team today announced the hiring of Associate Head Coach Chuck Webb as well as the re-signing of player-coach Jarari Johnson. Webb, who served as an assistant coach for the Tycoons last season will work along side co-Associate Head Coach, Richard Bacon.

Johnson, the Tycoons' "All-Star" point guard a season ago was undoubtedly the team's MVP and coach on the court. Tycoons President, Mike Senters, states, "Jabari exemplifies everything that is right about the ABA and the opportunity that the league provides. As a Dallas native, Jabari is a talented hometown star that the community has followed since high school. For whatever reason, NBA scouts missed on this one. As much as I would love to keep him on our roster, my prayer is that he gets the recognition that he deserves and gets a shot on the next level. He is as good as any point guard in the area - PERIOD! Mark Cuban's team not withstanding."

The Tycoons will announce additional signings as well as the final roster shortly. Training camp, which is open to the public begins today, Friday October 21st. For a complete training camp schedule, log onto www.txtycoons.com or call 817 4 TYCOONS. Or visit www.abalive.com. -
