MOOSE NOTES

MID-TERM REPORT: Tuesday night's game vs. San Antonio will mark the halfway point of Manitoba's 80-game regular season. The team currently sits second in the North Division with 45 points and a 21-15-2-1 record, nine points behind the first place Toronto Marlies. The Moose posted a 12-6-2-0 record in the first quarter of the season, and a win over San Antonio in Game #40 would put the Moose above .500 in the second quarter. Last season the Moose reached the half-way point with a 17-13-5-4 for 43 points. Manitoba's most successful first-40 was in 2004-05 when they went 27-10-1-2 (0.713) for 57 points, which fell on the heels of the club's worst season-opening performance in 2003-04 (15-18-6-1).

RAPID FIRE RAMPAGE: Drew MacIntyre was kept busy Sunday night in San Antonio. By facing 51 shots on goal, MacIntyre came within two shots of tying the Moose franchise record for most shots faced on the road, a record set Nov. 15/05 at Grand Rapids (53 shots, 4-5 SOL). MacIntyre saved 47 of the attempts, improving his overall save percentage to 0.923 with a 2.35 goals against.

ROAD SKID: After registering losses to Houston Jan. 10 & 12 and San Antonio Jan. 13, the Moose have set this season's standard for most consecutive losses at three games. When including the club's 3-2 loss at Syracuse on Dec. 29/07, the club is also on a four-game road losing streak, their longest of the season. The Moose franchise record for longest away losing streak is seven games (Feb. 7 - Mar. 15/04).

UPCOMING OPPONENTS

After earning a come-from-behind 4-3 victory over the Moose Sunday night, the San Antonio Rampage bring a 1-0-0-0 record into the second game of this season series Tuesday night in Texas. Thursday and Friday night's match-ups between the Manitoba Moose and Peoria Rivermen will be the first of four clashes between both teams this season.
