Ten Sockers Home Games presented in HD on 4SD

The PASL-Pro North American Champion San Diego Sockers today announced their play-by-play coverage plans for the upcoming 2010-2011 season. For the second straight season, 10 selected home games will be re-broadcast on Channel 4 San Diego on Wednesday nights in prime time.

"We're pleased to once again be back with Channel 4 San Diego," said Sockers general manager John Kentera, "Bill Geppert, Craig Nichols and Dennis Morgigno are people I've worked with for many years in the broadcasting world and they are true professionals. I'm looking forward to continuing our relationship very much."

The broadcasts will be 90 minutes in length and presented in full high definition, produced by Evo Streams Productions in San Diego.

"We're happy to once again be associated with San Diego's winningest franchise," said 4SD station manager Dennis Morgigno, "We look forward to providing Channel 4 viewers with some exciting PASL-Pro action in 2010-2011."

The Sockers also announced today their continuing relationship with San Diego independent sports website 619Sports.Net as the team's official media provider and live play-by-play home. Every San Diego Sockers game, home and road, will be webstreamed live with video and audio on 619Sports.Net.

Craig Elsten returns for his second season as the play-by-play voice of the Sockers for both TV and the internet. Elsten is a 17-year veteran of the San Diego sports market, former radio host for XTRA, KOGO and KLSD, and the founder/operator of 619Sports.Net. He also is the play-by-play voice of SDSU baseball and UCSD athletics, and has announced the high school football championships for 4SD the past two seasons.

The Sockers season opener will be November 14th in Stockton against the California Cougars, broadcast on 619Sports.Net at 7pm. The Sockers home opener will be on November 20th at 6:15pm against the Tacoma Stars, with live coverage on 619Sports.Net and TV replay on November 24th at 8pm.
