Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees News Release
The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees will continue a proud hockey tradition with their ninth-annual Teddy Bear Toss this coming Wednesday December 21st. The Teddy Bear Toss is a long-standing hockey tradition with participants across all levels of the sport.
During the game against the Allen Americans on Wednesday after the first Bees goal fans are encouraged to throw their stuffed creatures to the ice. After the stuffed animals are collected they will be donated to the Hidalgo Police Department Toy Drive.
Fans are asked to keep the toys to new stuffed creatures. Objects with sharp edges or hard surfaces could damage the playing surface.
Tickets for the game on Wednesday are on sale by calling 843-7825, visiting killerbeehockey.com or any State Farm Arena ticket outlet.
