SHREVEPORT, LA - Is your son a natural athlete' Is he between the ages of 11-13' Does he love playing the game of baseball' Are you looking for a way to help him gain exposure and play against the best competition possible'

Team USA Baseball in coordination with the Global Scouting Bureau and the Shreveport-Bossier Captains will be hosting a showcase event to help select the 13U roster for the annual Team USA National Team Identification Series (NTIS). Participation in the 2011 USA Baseball NTIS starts at the regional level. Players across the country will compete in identification opportunities that will culminate in the selection of the National Teams.

In order to participate in the event, all athletes must be between the ages of 11-13 and be born AFTER JANUARY 1st, 1998! The cost to participate is $95 and you can register online at www.usabaseball.com by following the links to the July 19th NTIS event. There will also be registration the day of each event beginning at 8 AM at the ballpark.

In addition to the tryout, the Shreveport-Bossier Captains will be providing each participant with a ticket package for that night's ballgame against the Wichita Wingnuts. Along with the ticket, participants will receive a coupon for a hot dog/hamburger, chips and a drink along with a free Captains souvenir baseball! Parents and families will also have the opportunity to purchase discounted tickets for the evening's game at only $4!
