New Mexico Thunderbirds News Release
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., Sept. 3, 2009 - The Albuquerque Thunderbirds have hired Jennifer Beck as Director of Business Management. Beck worked with the team during the 2008-2009 season as a business operations intern.
"One of the great advantages of working in the NBA Development League is the opportunity it presents for team staff members and interns to become qualified to take on increasingly challenging positions in the sports industry," said team owner Jackie Bregman. "Jenn's dedication to the team as an intern last season and her willingness to work hard to ensure the success of our organization was the deciding factor in asking her to take on this role in managing our business operations. The dream truly does start here, and we are proud that we have had numerous staff members make it to the next level in basketball as a result of working for the Thunderbirds organization."
Beck attended the University of New Mexico, where she graduated with a Masters of Science in Sports Administration in 2009. She also attended UNM for her undergraduate degree, graduating with her Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science in 2008.
"I'm excited to be back with the organization and am looking forward to a great season," said Beck. "I want to thank the Bregmans for allowing me the opportunity to pursue my career goal of working in sports."
In her free time, she enjoys competitive cycling, and is a member of the New Mexico Spokettes racing team. She is also an avid golfer, and enjoys time on the golf course with her family. She currently resides in Albuquerque with her husband, Matt.
