"When you look into this organization and see how and why they are bringing hockey back to this community, you can't help but to be excited. The ownership group is placing a team in the community, for the community. The coaching staff has a marvelous track record and reputation in the hockey world. The MAYSA Arena is welcoming and excited to house this club and the North American Hockey League has a solid foundation and fantastic reputation." Hulberg stated. The Tauros will begin play in the NAHL this upcoming fall. Hulberg looks forward to the Tauros instate rivalry with his former team.

"After my time with the Bobcats and their impressive record, National Championship and division three peat, I think I'm most excited about those battles. But then again, with the geographic of our Division and what our coaching staff is capable of putting on the ice, we might be everyone's rival!" Hulberg said with a smile.

The Tauros staff has a wild summer ahead of them getting this organization lifted and off the ground. It's a project that Hulberg is excited about.

"This is an organization that will buzz throughout the community. Whether it's a jammed packed house for a Tauros win over Bismarck, or kids coming home from school glowing from meeting the players during class, this is an organization you will grow to love."

TAUROS HOLD FIRST OF THREE CAMPS

In most cases the off season is a time to celebrate or mourn. All teams rebuild. For the Minotauros, there are no feelings to entertain, however there is plenty of building to do. The expansion team will take its first step in compiling a roster for the 2011-2012 season this weekend.

The Tauros hit the ice this Friday, for the first time in Woodbury, Minnesota for the first of three tryout camps. Over 70 Players have signed up to showcase their skills while trying to make the Sunday afternoon cut. The selected few will receive an invite back to the Magic City for the final training camp in late August.

" Marty (Murray) and I have some difficult decisions ahead of us." Said Tauros Co-Head Coach and General Manager, Ben Johnson. "We have a great group of guys coming in that can flat out play the game and compete, that's what we are looking for."

The Tauros Coaching Staff wont have it any easier after Woodbury. From the first camp, the Coaching Staff will use the next three months to build the roster. The North American Hockey League, a feeder league to college hockey, is home to 28 teams across 14 states and one Canadian province. Teams utilize draft picks, tenders and training camps to compile their teams.

"We are looking for more than just a hockey player. We are looking for young men that carry a good reputation in their current communities. These players have to be well educated if they want to make it to the next level. At the end of the day, we are looking for good hockey players that are good people." Johnson said.
