Minot Minotauros News Release
by Ken Oda
Minot, ND - Tauros Head Coach and General Manager Cody Campbell continued his aggressive approach to his first NAHL Trade Deadline today acquiring forward Jack Brown and conditional future assets from the Chippewa Steel in exchange for forward Kade Nielsen. The move comes on the heels of flurry of trades announced yesterday that saw the Tauros add Brown's Chippewa teammate Jack Kircher and El Paso goaltender Lassi Lehti.
Brown is in his second and final season in the NAHL having played 81 games over a season and a half with Chippewa. In his career he has 21 goals and 27 assists for 48 points including 10 goals and 17 assists this season. The uncommitted forward will play for Team Midwest in the NAHL Top Prospects Tournament next week despite now being a member of the Central Division Tauros.
Campbell was effusive in his praise of Brown, "We are thrilled to add Jack to our group. He will add size, competitiveness, and a veteran presence to our forward group and within our locker room." Campbell added "The entire Tauros Staff would like to thank Kade for their time in Minot and wish the best of luck in Chippewa."
Brown, along with Kircher, and Lehti will join the Tauros immediately and be ready to play in this weekend's games against Aberdeen. Friday night is the Tauros Early Valentine's Night with the first 1,000 fans getting a ring, one of which will be a real diamond ring from Knowles Jewelry. Then Saturday is Liberty Tax Super Hero Night, fans are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite Super Hero as we honor of the memory of our honorary captain Grantley Johnson. Tickets for both games are available through the "Tickets" tab atop this page or.
