Frisco RoughRiders News Release
The Frisco RoughRiders snapped a three-game losing streak on Friday night, beating the San Antonio Missions 5-1.
First baseman Wes Bankston collected an RBI double in the bottom of the first inning to get the 'Riders on the scoreboard first. Catcher Taylor Teagarden then singled home another run, giving Frisco a 2-0 lead. The club added three more runs on the night, giving starter Ryan Tatusko plenty of run support.
Ryan Tatusko (5-0, 2.65) earned his first win in 2010 as a starting pitcher. He went seven innings and allowed one run on four hits. Tatusko had gone without a decision in four previous starts.
The 'Riders will try and split the series with San Antonio as the two clubs play the series finale on Saturday night. Blake Beavan (8-3, 2.82) will square off against the Missions Corey Kluber (2-5, 4.05). First pitch is scheduled for 7 PM.
