"Taste, Tour & Tickets" Event Kicks Off 2017 Campaign On March 4 Fans to have chance to try new food options, take free tours of Werner Park, "Swing For Seats"
PAPILLION - The march towards Opening Night 2017 continues with the Storm Chasers' fourth annual "Taste, Tour and Tickets" event on Saturday, March 4 at Werner Park. New for this year's event, fans will have a chance to "Swing For Your Seats" and win 50% OFF a Ticket Package by hitting a Home Run at Werner Park.
From 11:00 am until 2:00 p.m., fans will be able to "Taste" new ballpark food items for the upcoming season, and "Tour" Werner Park to see where many World Series Champion Kansas City Royals played. Box seats for Opening Night 2017 on Tuesday, April 11 will also be on-sale for a special one-day price of $5. 2017 ticket plans will also be available, and current package holders will be able to pick up their "Tickets" at the ballpark.
For $5, fans will get the opportunity to "Taste" some of the newest food items to be served at Werner Park in 2017, including mac & cheese, breaded chicken sandwiches, and turnovers. The tasting portion will be part of the all-access behind-the-scenes "Tour" of Werner Park guided by Storm Chasers staff that will include walking inside the home clubhouse, press box, suites and more.
The event will also provide fans a chance to "Swing For Your Seats" and win 50% off a Half-Season Ticket Package by hitting a home run at Werner Park. A total of eight pre-selected seats will be available to win. To enter the "Swing For Your Seats" contest, fans are required to place a 50% deposit on a Half-Season Ticket Package at "Taste, Tour and Tickets". That fan will then get five swings from home plate and attempt to hit a home run. If a home run is hit, the remaining balance of that seat for the 2017 season will be waived. If a home run is not hit, that fan will have until Opening Day to pay the remaining balance for the Half-Season Ticket Package. This offer is available for new season ticket holders only.
The "Taste, Tour and Tickets" event also provides a great chance for fans who have not purchased a ticket package to speak with a Storm Chasers representative about ticket plans for the upcoming campaign. Seats available for the 2017 season will be marked throughout the ballpark for the duration of the event.
