
Taryne Mowatt returns to NPF with the NY/NJ Comets

Bridgewater, NJ - March 6, 2013 - Owner/GM, Michael Neuwirth announced today that Taryne Mowatt has signed with the New York/New Jersey Comets for the 2013 season.
"I am excited that Taryne has joined the Comets family," stated Neuwirth. "Taryne is the ultimate competitor and her passion for the sport and fans is equally impressive. She will make our pitching staff stronger and is a great role model for our youth."
Mowatt's many successes include two women's college world series championships with the University of Arizona and an ESPY award for female athlete of the year. She was drafted in the first round of the 2008 NPF draft and finished her rookie season with a 1.49 ERA.
"I am thrilled to be coming back to the NPF and to be joining a new team based out of the Northeast!" stated Mowatt. "I think the fans are excited to have a women's professional fastpitch team return to the area and I can't wait to get out there and play for the Comets!"
