Tampa Bay Storm News Release
TAMPA BAY - The five-time world champion Tampa Bay Storm will scrimmage the Orlando Predators Friday, February 16 at 7 p.m. on Bill Currie Ford Field at the St. Pete Times Forum, announced General Manager and Head Coach Tim Marcum.
In what is a preview for the Week 1 match-up of the War on I-4, Marcum and Predator Head Coach Jay Gruden will get a good look at their rosters and how new players handle different situations. "Our players had a good mini-camp," said Marcum. "Having this scrimmage at the end of the first week of training camp will give us a good idea of where we are at as a team."
The teams will run through various drills before they face off on the field for a controlled scrimmage. The scrimmage is open to the media and public. The following gates will be open for fans to enter: XO VIP, Box Office, Chrysler Jeep Club and Gate B. Gate B is located next the McDonalds Box Office on the plaza.
The 2007 Storm Season, presented by Champs Sports, Where Sport Lives, will open March 2 with the War on I-4 against the Orlando Predators on Bill Currie Ford Field at the St. Pete Times Forum. Former Storm quarterback Shane Stafford returns for his first game against the Storm. For tickets call 813.301.6780 or visit www.tampabaystorm.com.
