Discover Card Becomes Exclusive and Official Credit Card of the AFL

NEW YORK - The Arena Football League and Discover Card have entered into a three-year agreement that designates Discover Card as the Exclusive and Official Credit Card of the AFL and its member teams. Terms of the three-year deal were not disclosed.
"We're very excited to enter into this unique agreement with Discover Card," said WILL WILSON, executive vice president, AFL Properties. "Our partnership gives Discover Card the opportunity to reward its Cardmembers with exclusive benefits at AFL games and similarly allows us to introduce the AFL to more fans."
The first 500 fans that show their Discover Card, or apply for one, at AFL entry gates at all games will receive Discover Card and AFL co-branded t-shirts. Fans who wear the t-shirt during the game will have the opportunity to participate in special in-game promotions and the chance to win prizes.

"Our partnership will provide Discover Card unique opportunities to deepen our relationship with AFL fans, while delivering meaningful benefits to our Cardmembers at the local team level."
The partnership will deliver on both local and national levels. All teams will wear a Discover Card branded patch on the left side of the team's dark jersey. Other in-arena activation includes dasherboards, jumbotron announcements, and a discount on team purchases where applicable.
