
Tampa Bay Lightning Recall Defenseman Nikita Nesterov

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled defenseman Nikita Nesterov from the Syracuse Crunch, Lightning vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced today.
Nesterov, 5-foot-11, 191 pounds, was assigned to Syracuse on Friday, Nov. 6 and skated in two games with the Crunch, registering a goal and five shots on goal with a plus-1 rating. He has played in six games with the Lightning this season, averaging 15:21 in ice time per game. Nesterov has appeared in 33 career NHL games, all with the Lightning, notching two goals and seven points with a plus-5 rating. He made his Stanley Cup Playoffs debut last season, recording a goal and six points in 17 games.
A native of Chelyabinsk, Russia, Nesterov has skated in 88 career AHL games, all with the Crunch. During that time he has registered eight goals and 31 points.
Nesterov was a fifth round selection of the Lightning, 148th overall, during the 2011 NHL Draft.
