Tampa Bay Lightning Reassign Michael Bournival and Luke Witkowski

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Tampa Bay Lightning have reassigned forward Michael Bournival and defenseman Luke Witkowski to the Syracuse Crunch, Lightning vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced today.

Witkowski, 26, has appeared in six games with the Lightning this season, posting two penalty minutes and six shots on goal. The Holland, Michigan native has skated in 26 career NHL games, all with the Lightning over the past three seasons, recording 21 penalty minutes. The Crunch captain has played in 11 games with Syracuse this season, notching three assists and 18 penalty minutes.

Bournival, 24, played in three games with the Lightning this season, registering three shots on goal. The Shawinigan, Quebec native made his Bolts debut on December 1 against the St. Louis Blues, logging 6:37 of time on ice. Bournival has appeared in 17 games with the Crunch this season, recording five goals and 11 points to go along with six penalty minutes.
