Talons Stay at #3 in Coaches Poll

TULSA-The Tulsa Talons (8-1) remained #3 in the Coaches poll for the fifth consecutive week behind the Spokane Shock and Wilkes-Barre Scranton Pioneers. The Talons will play East Division leader Wilkes-Barre this weekend at the BOK Center at 7pm. The Talons will be looking to extend their winning streak to 8 games. In last week's win over in-state rival Oklahoma City, Talons WR/DB Jeff Hughley had a great night scoring 7 touchdowns and in the process became the franchise leader in career touchdowns and career points. He now has 98 TDs and 596 points during his three Talons seasons. The previous leader was current head coach Mitch Allner, who had 91 TDs and 568 points in his playing career (2002-04).

This Saturday's game will showcase two of the hottest teams in the league as the Pioneers have won their last six games (by an average of 29 points) and the Talons have won their last seven games (by an average of 28.9 points). This will also be the 1st meeting between the 2 teams since the Talons beat the Pioneers in the 2007 ArenaCup Championship.
