Talons rookie James McClinton was huge on defense in Tulsa's 73-46 win over in-state rival Oklahoma City last Saturday. McClinton had four sacks, including one that resulted in a safety in the third quarter. McClinton's sack total tied a Talons single-game record.
This is McClinton's first af2 weekly award. McClinton is currently tied for fourth in the league with seven total sacks. McClinton has played in 6 games this season for the Talons and has 9 solo tackles and 6 assisted tackles.
The Talons will return home to play the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Pioneers on Saturday, June 6th, 2009. It will be the first meeting between the 2 division leaders since the Talons beat the Pioneers in the 2007 ArenaCup championship game.
