Tulsa Talons News Release

The Tulsa Talons rebounded from their first loss of the season with a convincing 75-50 victory over the Manchester Wolves Friday night on Brady Sullivan Field at the Verizon Wireless Arena. Six Manchester miscues and six touchdown passes by Tulsa QB Justin Allgood disappointed a home crowd of 5,008 fans in Manchester. The loss also snapped the Wolves six-game home win streak.

Tulsa started out strong, scoring on all five first quarter possessions to race out to a 35-13 lead. Allgood, in his first af2 start, had three touchdown passes in the quarter and one rushing score. Manchester, conversely, fumbled on its first possession of the game and fumbled a kickoff immediately after the Talons first touchdown.

Allgood's top target on the night was WR Jermaine Landrum (Schutt Offensive Player of the Game), who caught six passes for 82 yards and three touchdowns. WR Jeff Hughley (4 catches, 39 yards, 1 TD, 57-yard kick return TD) and FB Michael Shack (22 yards rushing, 2 TDs) were also major players for Tulsa in the win. On the defensive side, DB Delenell Reid recorded 6.0 tackles and two interceptions. DB Jamar Ransom had a strong performance as well with 6.0 tackles and a 42-yard interception return for a score in the third quarter.

Manchester WR Patrick Rouzard had a career night in the loss with eight catches for 111 yards and five touchdowns. QB Mark Radlinski, who played with Tulsa in 2006, had a subpar showing against his former team in what was his home debut for the Wolves. Radlinski completed 26-of-42 passes for 252 yards with five touchdowns and three interceptions.

One positive piece of news for the Wolves was veteran DB Allistair Sebastien became the af2's all-time leader in interceptions with 30 overall. Sebastien, who earned the ADT Defensive Player of the Game Award, finished the night with 5.0 total tackles and two interceptions.

The Wolves will stay home for another week when they face East Division rival Albany Conquest next Friday, June 8 at 7:05 p.m. on Brady Sullivan Field at the Verizon Wireless Arena.
