High Desert Mavericks News Release

As the High Desert Mavericks embark on a new season and a new affiliation with the Kansas City Royals, Mavericks games will have a new home on the radio dial.

The High Desert Mavericks announced today that Talk 960 will be the official radio station of High Desert Mavericks Baseball. Talk 960, a Clear Channel Victorville station, will broadcast all 140 regular season home and away games, including all playoff and championship games.

"We are thrilled to have Talk 960 as the Mavericks new radio station," said Mavericks General Manager Bruce Mann. "Clear Channel has a great history of community involvement in the Victor Valley and we look forward to our partnership that will extend beyond baseball and into the community."

The three-year partnership with Talk 960 will not only include in-game broadcasts but full pre- and post-game shows and a one hour clubhouse show with even more in-depth interviews and commentary with Mavericks coaches and players to air on Talk 960 each week.

"Clear Channel Radio and Talk 960 are very excited to be a part of the High Desert Mavericks Family. Mavericks Baseball will be a major part of Talk 960 programming," said Larry Thornhill, Clear Channel Market Manager, Victorville/Lancaster. "The addition of Mavericks Baseball will continue to cement Talk 960's commitment to bringing local community radio to the High Desert. We look forward to the upcoming season and the new affiliation with the Kansas City Royals".

The 2005 season opens at Mavericks Stadium on April 7th at 7:05 versus the Lancaster JetHawks with a spectacular fireworks show following the game. The game can be heard live on TALK 960, the official radio station of the High Desert Mavericks.
