
Takers fall to Texas in season opener

The Texas Tycoons led by Brandon Lee with 29 points and 7 assist, Mario Kinsey with 30 points and 9 assist won their season opener against the Houston Takers Friday night 142-123. The Tycoons led most of the game and went into halftime with a 65-53 lead with Brandon Lee only scoring 3 points who was there leading scorer last season. Larry Satchell and Josh Jones each had 25 points with Satchell pulling down 14 rebounds for a solid performance.
"I'm really excited about our team here in Houston considering the guys only had two days of practice with our new coach Orlando Woolridge. This is one of the best teams in the league by far and I feel we will be a great contender as soon as Sunday's game, just watch" added Larry Leonard the owner.
