THE RAINIERS: Look to close the Sacramento series out with a win, after dropping the series with Saturday's 7-2 loss...the River Cats took a 1-0 lead in the third inning, but Tacoma tied the game in the fifth when Brock Rodden drew a bases-loaded walk...Sacramento took a 3-1 lead in the top of the sixth inning when Parks Harber hit his second homer of the game...the Rainiers got one run back in the bottom of the sixth inning on a Jakson Reetz RBI single to make it 3-2, but the River Cats scored four unanswered runs to win 7-2.

ASSISTS FROM THE OUTFIELD: Connor Joe recorded his second outfield assist on Saturday night, marking the second consecutive game Tacoma has gotten an outfield assist and the first time getting one in consecutive games this season...it's the first time the Rainiers outfield has accomplished the feat since recording an assist in three straight games from September 14-17, 2025...Tacoma's five outfield assists since the beginning of July are the second-most in the PCL, trailing only Albuquerque's seven.

LOVING LEFTIES: The Rainiers are set to face a left-handed starter for the fourth time this series today...against left-handed pitching this season, the Rainiers lead all minor league teams with 51 home runs (are the only team to eclipse 50) and their 70 doubles are one-shy of being tied for the most (71 - Las Vegas, Albuquerque, and Salt Lake) while ranking fifth in hits (309) and RBI (179)...124 extra-base hits off of southpaws through the team's first 107 games are the most by a Tacoma group since at least 2005 while their 51 home runs (54 - 2023) and 70 doubles (71 - 2019) are the second-most...since 2005, the Rainiers' 835 home runs against left-handed pitching are the fifth-most in the minor leagues.

GARICA'S GOT IT GOING: RHP Nick Garcia threw 1.1 scoreless innings of relief on Wednesday night, recording all four outs via strikeout...dating back two appearances prior on July 21 at Reno, Garcia has recorded each of his last eight outs by strikeout... dating back to June 25, the right-hander has not allowed a run in nine of his last 10 appearance (3ER on July 25), going 1-0 with a 2.03 ERA in that span, walking six to 19 strikeouts...in his last outing on Wednesday, Garcia touched 97.2 miles per hour, his fastest pitch of the season.

LABRADA LOCKED IN: OF Victor Labrada connected on his sixth home run of the season, and second in as many days, on Friday night, the fifth time in his career he's homered in back-to-back games, and first since May 3-4, 2025 with Double-A Arkansas...Labrada is batting .313 (15x48) in his last 15 games...Labrada tallied a hit in 14 of his 17 July games, hitting .309 in the month with nine extra-base hits (6 2B, 3B, 2HR), tied for the fourth-most in a month in his career...his .564 SLG in July is the best of any month in his career (min. 50 PA).

LIVE, LAZ, LOVE: Coming out of the All-Star Break, OF Lazaro Montes has hit .327 (17x52), with seven doubles, two home runs and six RBI over that 13-game span, leading the league with his seven doubles, ranking second with nine extra-base hits in that time...Montes has also reached base at a .390 clip in that span, slugging .577 for an .967 OPS...Montes has recorded a hit in 11 of his last 13 games, six of which have been multi-hit efforts.

PEREDA PARTY: C Jhonny Pereda finished one of the best months of his career in July, hitting .379 (22x59), the best month of his career by batting average (min. 50 PA), collecting eight doubles and one home run, driving in 11, with the eight doubles the most he's tallied in a month in his career...Pereda's .463 OBP, .569 SLG and 1.032 OPS in July are all the second-best of any month in his career (min. 50 PA), trailing only August of 2025 with Triple-A St. Paul, when he reached base at a.516 clip and slugged .630 for an 1.146 OPS.

ARROYO OFF TO THE RACES: INF/OF Michael Arroyo has been one of the better hitters in the PCL since his Triple-A debut on July 7... in that time, Arroyo ranks fifth in the PCL with 27 hits and 18 RBI and seventh with 42 total bases...Arroyo is has hit .520 (13x25) against left-handed pitchers, hitting two doubles, a triple and home run, driving in seven...Arroyo's 13 hits against lefties in that time are the second-most in the minor leagues...Arroyo has reached base in 16 of his first 19 games with Tacoma, driving in a run in 10 of them.

MARINERS UPDATE: The Mariners walked off the Minnesota Twins 4-3 on Saturday afternoon...the Mariners took a 3-0 lead after two innings as Julio Rodríguez and Mitch Garver drove in runs in the first inning and Randy Arozarena homered in the second inning...Minnesota tied the game by scoring a run in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings, but Cal Raleigh drove in the winning run in the ninth inning on a ground out to win the game for the Mariners, 4-3.
