T-Devils See Changes in Regular Season Schedule

Trenton Devils News Release

TRENTON, NJ (August 21, 2008) - The Trenton Devils announced today that several changes have been made to their schedule for the 2008-09 season. While no home dates have been altered, the T-Devils' opponents and some road games were tweaked.

The changes to Trenton's regular season schedule are relatively minor, especially at home. The sole home change sees the Devils hosting the Reading Royals instead of the South Carolina Stingrays on February 18 at 7:00pm.

The Devils' road schedule has been altered to a greater extent. Foremost among the changes is the addition of three games against Elmira.

Two games which were originally to be played against the Dayton Bombers (on January 30 and 31) in Ohio have been canceled in favor of a pair of contests on those dates against Elmira on the Jackals home ice. Likewise, the Devils will take on the Jackals on March 17 at First Arena instead of playing the Wheeling Nailers in West Virginia.

Trenton will have a challenge against its new rivals: in addition to the two preseason contests, eight of the thirteen games of the regular season series will be played in Elmira this year. The T-Devils are 2-3-1 at First Arena in regular season play.

There are several other changes to the road calendar, as well. A contest in Wheeling has been added for November 19 at 7:05pm, while the game on February 27 at Cincinnati has been deleted. An Elmira game which had been scheduled for December 13 has instead been moved to the 14th at 4:05pm. Furthermore, a game on February 28, that was to be played against the Cyclones, has been changed to a battle at WesBanco Arena against the Nailers.

The final change to Trenton's schedule occurs during their southern road trip, in which their March 4 game against Charlotte has been shifted to March 10, with a puck drop time to be announced.
