T-Bones Rally Past Cracker-Cats

The Kansas City T-Bones snatched victory out of the jaws of defeat Wednesday night at TELUS Field sending 9 batters to the plate in the 8th inning scoring 4 runs, erasing a 6-5 deficit en route to an 11-6 victory over the Edmonton Cracker-Cats. Kansas City left fielder Al Benjamin stroked a double to left field thru a drawn in infield to score 2 runs. Benjamin ended the night with 3 runs batted in.

Cat right hander Curt Moenter (1-1), the 3rd of 5 pitchers on the night, let in 2 runs over 1 1/3 innings to take the loss. Kansas reliever Justin Costi (2-0) pitched a 4 batter 7th inning to record the victory.

The series concludes Thursday night, the 15-22 ‘Cats will send out RHP Dorian Castro (2-1), and the 15-22 T-Bones will counter with RHP Kenny Durost.
