Winston-Salem T-Birds News Release
The Winston-Salem T-Birds, looking to get back into the win column, return to the friendly confines of the Joel Coliseum Annex for home games on Thursday & Friday night. The T-Birds begin the week in the South East Hockey League with a record of 16 wins and 25 losses.
T-Birds Home Games This Week
Thursday, February 19th @ 7:30PM vs. Knoxville Ice Bears

"Carolina Thunderbirds" Reunion
Friday night's game will honor members of the 1988-89 Champion Carolina Thunderbirds along with Thunderbird players from other years in Winston-Salem. Among the players who will be in attendance include five players from the 1988-89 team:
Randy Irving (current T-Birds Head Coach), Bob Wensley, E.J. Sauer, Matt Winnicki, and Brian Clark.
Three other members of that team are coaching at the professional level. John Torchetti is the Head Coach of the NHL's Florida Panthers, Scott Allen is the Head Coach of the San Antonio Rampage in the AHL, and Goaltender Nick Vitucci is the Head Coach of the Toledo Storm in the ECHL.
Also, these additional former Thunderbirds will be in attendance:

Cam Colborne (Polar Twins & 81-82 / 86-87 T-Birds)
Wayne Cameron (81-82 T-Birds)

Dan Olson: (81-82 to 84-85, 87-88 & 90-91 T-Birds)
Dave Watson (82-83 to 87-88 T-Birds)
Tom Madson (82-83 & 83-84 T-Birds)
Joe Curran (84-85 to 87-88 T-Birds)
Wayne Marion (95-96 Winston-Salem Mammoths/SHL)
Also: Original Thunderbirds owner Dave Gusky, now the General Manager of Just Hockey, will be in attendance.
