Winston-Salem T-Birds News Release
The Winston-Salem T-Birds got into the win column this past week, defeating the Knoxville Ice Bears 5-4 in overtime last Friday night at the Joel Coliseum Annex. Daniel Howard scored in the overtime on a penalty shot to earn Head Coach Randy Irving his first victory. The T-Birds now head on the road for three games this week before coming home on March 12th. The T-Birds will be in Huntsville on Thursday and Cape Fear on Friday and Sunday.
The T-Birds are in fourth place in the SEHL with a record of 17 wins and 30 losses for 34 points. The T-Birds are six points behind the third place Cape Fear Fire Antz for the third and final SEHL playoff spot with three weeks remaining in the regular season.
