Syracuse Silver Knights Sign Jade Mesias from Harrisburg

SYRACUSE, New York - On Monday morning, Tommy Tanner added depth to an already strong attack unit for the Silver Knights with the signing of Jade Mesias, the former Harrisburg Heat forward.
Through the first 13 games during to 2014-2015 MASL season, Jade Mesias tallied 9 points on 6 goals and 3 assist. He has come on strong as of late, becoming a real threat in front of goal, scoring a goal in each of his last 4 appearances.
Mesias is excited to join the Silver Knights and is hoping to make an impact from day one, " I expect to make an impact on the team, I am blown away for the opportunity to play with a well-established organization and I hope to make an impact as soon as I can. " Mesias commented Monday, " I am excited for the 5 games ahead and for playoffs this season. "
Mesias said that he especially liked the free flowing style that Coach Tanner and the Silver Knights play. The Silver Knights and the Heat have met four times during the MASL season with the Knights taking all four. In those four games against the Silver Knights, Mesias contributed 3 goals and an assist for the Heat.
Tommy Tanner added that " Mesias is a great player who will add youth and depth to the team. He ' ll be able to push guys in practice and will be a great addition for the team moving forward. "
Mesias, who hails from New Zealand is in his first year in the MASL after graduating from Benedictine College in 2014. He then joined the Washington College coaching staff during the summer as a men ' s assistant coach before joining the Harrisburg Heat to begin his professional career.
Jade Mesias will have the week to train with the Silver Knights before lacing up for a game. The Silver Knights will travel to Milwaukee and Chicago next weekend before returning home Thursday February 19th to take on the Chicago Mustangs.
