Syracuse Silver Knights Player Combine to be held September 27-28

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Coming off of the franchise's most successful season, the Syracuse Silver Knights of the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) have announced that they will be holding a player combine on Saturday, September 27 and Sunday, September 28. The tryouts consist of two 3-hour sessions on Saturday from 3:00-6:00 p.m. ET and Sunday from 11:00-2:00 p.m. ET at the CNY Family Sports Centre in Syracuse, New York.
"Combine offers an opportunity to sign a professional contract," Head Coach Tommy Tanner said. "Every year we have signed at least 1 to 2 players from the combine."
The combine will provide a chance for elite men's soccer players to showcase their talent for the coaching staff of the Silver Knights organization. Those who participate have an opportunity to earn a professional contract with the club as it embarks on its first MASL campaign.
"Myself and assistant coach Joe Papaleo will be evaluating the players. We expect 30-60 players to try out," Tanner explained.
Any player is welcome to apply for the Syracuse Silver Knights Player Combine. Registration forms are available online on the team's website. Resumes will be requested to complete the application process including the singed waiver/liability form and sign up fee of $50. The registration cost increases to $65 the day of the combine. Participants are required to bring turf or indoor shoes and shin guards to compete. No cleats will be allowed in the CNY Family Sports Centre.
