Syracuse Crunch Announce First Part of the 2015-16 Promotional Schedule

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse Crunch have announced the first part of their 2015-16 promotional schedule, which includes theme nights, giveaways, autograph signings, community nights and special events.

The Crunch promotional schedule kicks off on Saturday, Oct. 17 when the team hosts the Binghamton Senators for the 22nd home opener presented by Upstate University Hospital. The home opener will be highlighted by a pre-game Party on the Plaza and a special opening ceremony featuring Upstate University Hospital nurses. The night will also be Oswego Community Night, the first of the Crunch's local community nights.

Each fan in attendance on Oct. 23 will receive a 2015-16 magnet schedule. The date is also 80s night and will feature a first intermission honoring 2015 Street Crunch presented by McDonald's participants.

The following weekend, fans are invited to celebrate Halloween with the Crunch on Oct. 30. The team will offer discounted ticket packages, a costume contest and Halloween-themed activities.

Flashback Friday will be held on Nov. 6, when the Crunch bring back former forward Jon Mirasty. The night will feature discounted tickets and a Mirasty bobble head giveaway to the first 300 fans.

Along with theme nights, the Crunch have unique contests planned for the 2015-16 season. The first comes on Nov. 7 with a pre-game cornhole tournament. Participants will have the opportunity to get on the ice for an exciting and energetic competition.

Lego Night falls on Nov. 13, along with Cortland Community Night. Lego Night is a fun-filled night focused on everyone's favorite building blocks. There will be Lego-themed vendors and a free building area in Memorial Hall. A portion of proceeds from the night will be donated to March of Dimes. Watertown Community Night follows on March 14.

The following game, the Crunch will team-up with Upstate University Hospital for Movember on Nov 27. Movember will raise funds for prostate cancer research and spread awareness of men's health issues.

The annual Tired Teddy Toss presented Stanley Steamer will be Dec. 12. Fans are encouraged to bring gently-used stuffed animals to the Crunch office prior to the game. When the team scores their first goal, the stuffed animals will be thrown onto the ice and collected for donation to the Salvation Army.

The Crunch will round-out 2015 with a bad gift exchange on Dec. 26.

Syracuse opens up the New Year when they work to find forever matches with Singles Night on Jan. 9. Fayetteville-Manlius Community Night will be the same night along with Football Night when football enthusiasts and fantasy leagues are invited out to the War Memorial Arena. League winners will be recognized on ice and the Crunch will offer ticket discounts.

The next weekend, fans are invited to participate in Social Media Night on Jan. 15. Ticket packages and exclusive social media t-shirts will be available.

January comes to a close with the highly anticipated Star Wars theme night and Liverpool Community Night on Jan. 29. Fans will be joined by popular movie characters along with Star Wars-themed concourse activities and contests. Ticket discounts are available for anyone who wears a Star Wars costume to the War Memorial Arena.

Hockey & Heels presented by Upstate University Hospital will be Feb. 5. Fans are encouraged to wear pink and red to help raise awareness about breast and cardiac health. The night will also include additional special events.

Syracuse will recognize female athletes during Women in Sports Night on Feb. 6 and host Cazenovia Community Night on Feb. 19. Youth Hockey Appreciation Night comes on Feb. 22 when youth hockey participants are encouraged to wear their jerseys and show team pride.

March begins with Fulton Community Night on March 12.

Adopt-a-kid will kick-off on March 25 and continue on April 1 and April 8. Adopt-a-kid is a ticket donation program that provides families the opportunity to attend a Crunch game, courtesy of local organizations.

Four-legged fans are invited back to the War Memorial Arena when the Crunch partners with the Priscilla Mahar Animal Welfare Foundation on March 26. The night will feature adoption tables and pet supply donation bins. Fans may also purchase mystery pucks with proceeds benefiting the Priscilla Mahar Animal Welfare Foundation.

Superhero Night comes on April 2. The team will have trivia and costume contests, ticket packages with a themed giveaway item and discounted tickets for fans who come to the game in costume. Superhero Night will be followed by East Syracuse Community Night on April 8.

The final giveaway of the 2015-16 regular season will be the team photo on April 9.

Syracuse wraps-up the season with Golf Night on April 16.
