
Syracuse Chiefs To Play 13-Game Spring Training Schedule

Syracuse, NY- The Syracuse Chiefs, Triple-A Affiliate of the Washington Nationals, announced today the team's 2010 Spring Training schedule. This year's spring slate will consist of 13 games beginning on March 20 and ending on April 3.
All of the Chiefs' home games will be played at the Washington Nationals Training Complex in Viera, Florida. Opponents include the Gwinnett Braves, the triple-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, the Toledo Mud Hens, the triple-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, and the Round Rock Express, the triple-A affiliate of the Houston Astros.
Minor league staff is set to report in Viera on March 4 with pitchers and catchers reporting the next day. The first full squad workout will take place on March 11.

The Chiefs will open the 2010 regular season on Thursday, April 8 at Alliance Bank Stadium against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs at 2pm.
