Louisville Bats Tickets On Sale March 2

Louisville, KY - The Louisville Bats announced that single game tickets for the 2010 season at Louisville Slugger Field will go on sale Tuesday, March 2nd at 10 a.m. This will be the first opportunity for fans to purchase tickets for any of the Bats' 72 home games.

The upcoming season marks the 11th year of play at Louisville Slugger Field, as well as the 11th year of affiliation with the Reds. The Bats open their 2010 season in Toledo on Thursday, April 8th at 5:30 p.m. against the Mud Hens, the Triple-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers. Following the team's six-game road trip, which includes four with Toledo and two against the Columbus Clippers, the Bats return to Louisville Slugger Field on Wednesday, April 14th for the home opener. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. and they will face the Indianapolis Indians, the Triple-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. All fans that night will receive a free magnetic schedule.

Three days after the home opener, Louisville will host a game on Thunder Over Louisville Day, as the Bats face the Clippers on Saturday, April 17th at 2:05 p.m. Gates will open at noon on Saturday, April 17th. Thunder tickets range in price from a $20 lawn seat to a $35 first base field reserved seat. Thunder fireworks, which will be shot off the Second Street Bridge at approximately 9:30 p.m., are best viewed from the first base field reserved seats.

Also available are $5 field access tickets to watch Thunder Over Louisville on the outfield grass of Louisville Slugger Field. In addition, Parrots of the Caribbean, "The #1 Jimmy Buffett Tribute Act in the Country," will be performing following the game. All fans will need their regular April 17th game admission ticket to enter the stadium on Thunder Day. Field level access is optional, but all fans who want to sit on the field must purchase the additional $5 field access pass.

Other 2010 events include "Dog Day at the Park" on May 10th and June 21st, our annual "Boy Scout Nights" on May 7th and August 28th, the Fourth of July Celebration will be on Saturday, July 3rd and the team closes out the 2010 schedule on Labor Day, September 6th. Throughout the season the Bats will again offer $1 Hot Dogs and Pepsi Products every Tuesday, while Thursdays feature $1 Budweiser.

Tickets to all Louisville Bats home games range from $7-$11, excluding Thunder Over Louisville. Regular hours at the Louisville Slugger Field box office are Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at ticketmaster.com, where tickets may be printed from your home computer using the TicketFast system, or you can order by phone at (800) 745-3000. Ticketmaster ticket centers are located at all Kroger locations.
