Syracuse Mets News Release
The Syracuse Chiefs are pleased to release the team's 2015 Promotional Schedule. Once again, the Chiefs will have a promotion for all 72 home games, with a mix of returning fan favorites and new themes for this season.
The Chiefs' commitment to an extended weekend of fun begins with the return of $1.00 Thursdays, last year's most successful theme night. During every Thursday home game, fans can purchase $1 Hofmann hot dogs, Coca-Cola products and programs and $2 beers (an increase of $1 due to state regulations). The popular Fireworks Fridays, which provide pyrotechnics after every Friday home game, will return with a new addition. Fans can come to the ballpark early for pre-game happy hours where the gates will open for batting practice with live bands and drink specials on the concourse. NBT Bank Family Sundays, where children 12 and under are free and can run the bases after the game, also return to this year's schedule.
This season, the Chiefs plan on improving weekends with the new "Super Saturday". Fans can expect something special at every Saturday home game this year, between giveaways, guest appearances and entertainment acts. Scheduled giveaways include Billy Gardner, Jr. Garden Gnomes from BlueRock Energy, Batting Helmets from Hofmann Sausage Company, Fleece Blankets from Coca-Cola, Golden Baseballs from Lockheed Martin and many more. More "Super Saturday" promotions will be announced later in the year.
In addition, the Chiefs are adding to last year's total of fireworks shows and bringing fireworks to all Super Saturday games beginning June 6th. With two Sunday dates added, the Chiefs have scheduled 19 fireworks shows for this year - up from 14 dates last season.
"The Chiefs are more than just fantastic professional baseball," said general manager Jason Smorol. "We are an event each and every night! We want to be the most affordable family entertainment value in Central New York and I think we deliver on that promise."
The Chiefs' drive toward affordable family entertainment this year begins with returning fan favorites such as the Cowboy Monkey Rodeo, Zooperstars and Reggy the Purple Party Dude. Syracuse is also excited to bring popular new acts to NBT Bank Stadium such as the Washington Nationals' Racing Presidents, tribute band Mini KISS and all-around entertainer The Utility Man. Dates for all entertainment acts can be found on the full promotional schedule.
This year's schedule also includes an increased commitment from the Chiefs to the community. The returning Bark in the Park Night, where pet owners can bring their dogs to the park, will raise funds and awareness for local animal rescues. That's joined by Strike Out Stroke Night with Upstate Hospital, Save the Skin Day to raise skin cancer awareness, Donate Life Awareness Night and many more, found on the full promotional schedule.
"The Chiefs have been a part of the community for more than 100 years", said Smorol. "It's important for us to continue to raise awareness and funds for the hard-working organizations and people in Central New York."
The Chiefs also bring back one of last year's most popular promotions on both Father's Day and Mother's Day - postgame catch on the field. Families will able to flood the NBT Bank Stadium field and play catch together postgame on these special Family Sundays of May 10th and June 21st. This year's Father's Day includes a guest appearance from Dwier Brown, best known for playing Ray Kinsella's father and leading a postgame father-and-son catch in the movie Field of Dreams.

The full schedule can also be found on Chiefs pocket schedules, available at NBT Bank Stadium or many local business throughout the Syracuse area.
