
Sweets Drop Game One Kelowna, Eliminated from Playoffs

KELOWNA, BC- The Walla Walla Sweets (28-24) lost the first game of the series with the Kelowna Falcons (25-27) 7-2 on Friday night.
Walla Walla jumped out first in the fourth inning with a solo home run by Willie MacIver (Washington). It was his fourth of the season, tying the team high with Nick Nyquist (Gonzaga).
The Falcons tied it with a home run in the fifth and then took the lead in the sixth with two runs.
The Sweets got a run back in the seventh on an RBI ground out by Jordan Myrow (UCLA), but the Falcons came back with four runs in the eighth to put the game away.
The loss eliminated the Sweets from the post-season and allowed Bellingham to clinch the second half in the North Division.
The Sweets and the Falcons will come together for game two tomorrow at 6:35 P.M. Ryan Anderson (Nevada) will take the hill for the Sweets.
