FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Nick Yobbi (USC Aiken) threw seven splendid innings and the SwampDogs offense backed him with eleven hits in an 8-5 over the Petersburg Generals on Thursday at The Swamp.

Yobbi yielded just two runs in the second inning before locking in and holding the Generals without a hit for his final five innings of work to earn the win.

Trey Vickers (Wichita State) continues to rake for the SwampDogs going to 2-4 with two RBIs. Hunter Dolshun (UMBC) added a paid of doubles and three RBIs to help the SwampDogs salt away the victory.

Despite falling behind, it was Yobbi who set the tone for the SwampDogs while limiting Petersburg to just three hits in the second inning. Yobbi kept the Generals off-balance for most of the night with a mix of velocities and was rarely hit hard.

The SwampDogs improve to 7-13 on the year and leap frog the Generals in the Western Division Standings as Petersburg falls to 6-13.

The SwampDogs welcome the Morehead City Marlins to The Swamp Friday night for Health and Wellness Night presented by Cape Fear Orthopedics. The first 500 fans receive a since sack courtesy of Cape Fear Orthopedics.
