Swamp Bats Fall in Homestand Finale

Keene Swamp Bats News Release
The Keene Swamp Bats ended their two game home stand with a 3-0 loss to the Laconia Muskrats and have plummeted to three straight losses to stay winless thus far this season.
The Swamp Bats lost Friday night's home opener in a 6-5 heartbreaking game to the North Adams Steeplecats. Tonight, the Muskrats had a tremendous game with their pitching staff leading the way.
Timothy Viehoff played through 6 phenomenal allowing just 2 hits and commanded with 13 strikeouts. The relief pitcher came in for each of the last 3 innings for the Muskrats and neither Vanderslice, Owens, or Coughlin allowed an earned run.
Before some heavy duty pitching from the relief staff of the Swamp Bats, John Leiter started the game for the Swamp Bats and played through 6 innings and record 3 strikeouts and ended the game with a 3.00 ERA. Hitting still became an issue like it was in Keene's season opener against the Valley Blue Sox. Only Ryan Karl and Michael Geannelis were able to record hits for the team.
However, the Brightside for the Swamp Bats is that they were able to draw 5 walks and have 3 stolen bases, with 2 of them coming from Larry Crisler, the center-fielder from Indiana.
The Keene Swamp Bats ended the night for the 1300+ fans for some fireworks and will go back on the road on Monday against the Sanford Mainers.
