Keene Swamp Bats News Release

The Keene Swamp Bats lost to the Ocean State Waves 2-1 as both teams battled it out in a pitcher's duel.

Matheny would ground out into an incredible 4-3 double play that would end the inning with all three would be Swamp Bats stranded on bases.

Keene would have the bases loaded once again in the 9th inning drawing in a couple of walks and a fielder's choice and score their first run in bottom of the 9th inning on a passed ball that would bring home Larry Crisler. Luopa would be the last man standing for the Swamp Bats and would groundout for the third out.

Brad Witkowski went 2-for-4 as the Swamp Bats had a combined six hits. Keene will be on the road Friday to face Sanford.
